Editorial summary
After parting from Barnabas, Paul set out with Silas, revisited the churches of Lycaonia and was joined by Timothy. A vision at Troas led them across the sea to Macedonia, where churches began in Philippi, Thessalonica and Berea, before Paul went on to Athens and spent a year and a half in Corinth.
Acts gives no dates. Estimates are anchored by Gallio, proconsul of Achaia (Acts 18:12), whose term an inscription found at Delphi places around AD 51–52.
