Editorial summary
The Gospels and Acts set many of their stories about women at particular places: in the accounts of Jesus’ birth, in his ministry in Galilee and beyond, at the cross and the empty tomb, and in the churches of Acts. Some of these women are named; others the text leaves unnamed, and so does the atlas.
Grouped by part of the story and listed in the order of the narratives, with Romans 16 last. These women did not travel together, so the places are not joined by a route. Not every woman in the Gospels and Acts is listed here; others, such as Sapphira, Drusilla and Bernice, appear on their own pages, and some women have no setting of their own, such as Susanna, whom Luke names among the women who traveled with Jesus (Luke 8:3), and those Acts mentions only as a group (Acts 17:12).
