The province in which Ephesus lay. Paul and his companions were once forbidden by the Holy Spirit to speak the word in Asia; later, during Paul’s two years of teaching at Ephesus, all who lived in Asia heard the word. Tychicus and Trophimus, who went with Paul after his months in Greece, were of Asia.
