What happened here

6
  1. A year and a half in Corinth

Paul lived and worked as a tentmaker with Aquila and Priscilla. After Silas and Timothy came down from Macedonia and the synagogue opposed him, he left it for the house of Justus next door; Crispus believed with his household, and after a vision in the night Paul stayed a year and six months, teaching.

  2. Before Gallio’s judgment seat

Opponents brought Paul before Gallio, proconsul of Achaia, who refused to judge questions about their own law and drove them from the judgment seat. Sosthenes was then beaten in front of it.

  3. Apollos at Corinth

When Apollos decided to cross over to Achaia, the brothers encouraged him and wrote to the disciples to receive him. In Achaia he greatly helped those who had believed, powerfully refuting the Jews in public and showing from the Scriptures that Jesus was the Christ.

Acts 18:27 says Apollos crossed into Achaia; Acts 19:1 says he was at Corinth.

  4. Timothy sent to Corinth

Writing to the assembly at Corinth, Paul said he had sent Timothy, his beloved and faithful child in the Lord, to remind them of his ways in Christ, as he taught everywhere in every assembly.

1 Corinthians is addressed to the assembly at Corinth (1:2), and Paul writes that he will stay at Ephesus until Pentecost (16:8). The letter does not say that Timothy had arrived: “if Timothy comes” (16:10).

  5. Titus goes to Corinth

Paul wrote that God had given Titus the same earnest care for the Corinthians: Titus accepted Paul’s appeal and, being very earnest himself, went to them of his own accord. With him Paul sent a brother whose praise in the Good News was known throughout the assemblies.

2 Corinthians is addressed to the assembly at Corinth (1:1). The letter speaks of Titus going to the Corinthians but does not narrate his arrival.

  6. Erastus remains at Corinth

Paul told Timothy that Erastus had remained at Corinth.
